How to solve iTune Sync ‘AIR App Name’ failed to install
The Problem
I don’t sure I am only one people in the world who found this problem.
During I joined prerelease program of Adobe Flash Builder 4.6 and Adobe Flex SDK 4.6, I could publish iOS application and also able to deploy them on my iPad and iPod touch. But surprised, I found after I’ve done a fresh installation of Adobe Flash Builder 4.6 (you can download here), create a demo application for video record for Thai Adobe Developer Community, and publish into my device.
… I found this..( below )
A pop-up dialog tell iTune Sync failed to install my application.
These way can’t solve it:
So I started to investigate and following method can’t solved:
- Uninstall and re-install Flash Builder 4.6 and AIR for iOS
- Create new mobile provision and added it to iTune
The solution
So I found the way to solve this problem: create new certificate file (yes, from your development machine) and new mobile provision file, following original step to prepare environment, and then, everything comes back and your application is now on device!
Suspect
I don’t sure what cause the problem. But between using the pre-release version (when I was able to deploy application to device) and the full version (when I couldn’t deploy my application and found the error), I was updated my XCode and iTune application. Something might cause something not work.
Oh! I also use Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2 during this problem solving.
You can found my post (and also answer) in Flash Builder forum here.
Enjoy Adobe AIR!
