“Can it really do that?”, should be your first question when you were making decision to choose a technology for your project. Especially that technology has been talked as ‘unwelcome’ for one of the world famous smart device. Yes, I am talking about Adobe Flash Platform and iOS.
Adobe is moving forward as they have promised in their announcement. By pulling out investment on Flash Player plug-in for mobile browser, Adobe seems going better with Adobe AIR on mobile, and yes, especially on game and entertainment application.
But finally you (and same to me) will ask “Do you have ‘real’ application built on Adobe Flash Platform on the App Store?” Sure, we need to ensure our technology investment will return in good technology and profitable. So Adobe shows their showcase. From a impressive story book (Sylvestor’s Band: iOS/Android/BlackBerry) to puzzle adventure game like Machinarium (iOS), from Politic tracking application (PolitiFact’s Truth-O-Meter: iOS/Android) to cross-device tower defender (Age of Defenders: Web/iOS/Android).
At the moment, it seems Adobe Flash Platform will dominate world of mobile application one step by one step, like its ancestor did before with world of web browser. Let’s see would it work on Windows 8 mobile or not.
