Last warrior is coming in… JavaFX
Mr. Ryan Stewart has went to JavaOne today. and brought us an amazing video of demonstration on latest technology from Sun Microsystems, JavaFX.
There’s a problem with demonstration but after she has dragged JavaFX web client on to desktop, Kabooom! It suddenly turn into desktop application and no need to living on in the browser anymore! (I begin to expect we didn’t need to download ‘Java app’ into form of ‘web app’).
By the way, it looks like Sun has powerful weapon in his hand, and this July, prepare for this last warrior of Web 2.0 War!

วันนี้นาย ไรอัน ได้ไปงาน JavaOne เองครับ (คนนี้คือ Adobe Technology Evangelist) และได้ถ่ายวิดีโอมาฝากกันด้วย โดยตัววิดีโอนี้ได้เก็บภาพการแสดงเทคโนโลยีล่าสุดของ Sun Microsystem มาด้วยนั่นคือ JavaFx นั่นเอง
ดูเหมือนจะมีปัญหาเล็กน้อยระหว่างการแสดงตอนต้นนะครับ แต่หลังจากเธอได้ “ลาก” web application ที่สร้างจาก JavaFX มาบนหน้าจอ desktop เราเท่านั้นล่ะครับ ตู้มม! มันก็กลายเป็น desktop application ในทันที่ โดยที่ไม่ต้องอาศัย browser อีกต่อไป (ผมฉุกคิดได้ว่า แล้วเราจำเป็นต้องโหลด ‘Web app’ ในขนาดเท่ากับ ‘Win app’ ไหมเนี่ย)
อย่างไรก็ตาม ผมว่า Sun เขามียอดอาวุธมาอยู่ในมือแล้วหล่ะ แล้วกรกฎานี้เตรียมตัวเจอนักรบคนสุดท้ายแห่งสนามรบ Web 2.0 ได้เลย

HP Slate กับ iPad และประโยชน์ของ Flash developer

จากการที่ Microsoft และ HP ร่วมมือกันเปิดตัว HP Slate ในช่วงต้นปีที่ผ่านมาก็เรียกเสียงฮือฮาจากแฟนๆได้ไม่น้อย แต่ต่อมา iPad ก็เรียกเสียงอื้ออึงได้มากกว่า และในช่วงที่ผมเขียนอยู่นี้ iPad ก็ได้วางจำหน่ายอย่างเป็นทางการแล้ว สำหรับ Flash developer แล้ว iPad กับ HP Slate ที่จะตามออกมานั้น จะส่งผลอย่างมีนัยยะสำคัญ นั่นก็คือ iPad มีระบบการออกแบบอุปกรณ์ที่เปรียบได้ว่า “ไร้พ่าย” และปัจจุบัน Multi-touch ของ Windows 7 ก็ยังถูกจำกัดศักยภาพด้วย hardware นั่นเอง (แต่จากประสบการณ์ใช้จริงของผมนะครับ พบว่ามันทำให้ผมมีความสุขได้ในระดับหนึ่งทีเดียว) แต่เมื่อพวกมันออกมาชนกันแล้ว จะเกิดอะไรขึ้น? ผมคาดว่าการออกมาชนกันของสองยักษ์ จะทวีประโยชน์ให้กับ Flash developer ทั้งคู่ ในมุมของ iPad นั้น iPhone Packager ไปนั่งรออยู่ก่อนแล้ว และในตัว HP Slate ซึ่งก็คือ

สวัสดีครับ วันนี้ผมมีความยินดีและตื่นเต้นเป็นอย่างยิ่ง เพราะหนึ่งใน tool หลายๆ ตัวที่ developer นับล้านๆ คนทั่วโลกเฝ้ารอคอยก็ได้มาจุติ ณ โลกใบนี้ซะที นั่นก็คือ Adobe Flash Builder 4 full release นั่นเอง IDE คู่ใจชาว Flex application developer ที่ได้รับการยกเครื่องด้วย Flex SDK 4.0 และอัดฉีดเครื่องมืออำนวยความสะดวกเข้าไปหลายโดสทีเดียว (แล้วจะมาจาระไนต่อครับ โปรดติดตามกันต่อไป) ตอนนี้ทาง Adobe ก็ได้ update หน้า web ที่ตอนแรกเป็น Flex Builder ก็กลายเป็น Flash Builder แล้วเรียบร้อยครับ ใครที่เคี่ยวกรำอยู่ในยุทธภูมิ Flex มานานก็สามารถไปหา download มาลองกันได้แล้วครับ ส่วนตัวผม ขอไปเรียบเรียงความรู้เก่า และใหม่ก่อนครับ มีอะไรจะได้เอามาแบ่งปันกัน Related posts:ทำไมเรายังใช้

มองไปมองมา หลังจากงาน Adobe MAX 2009 ที่สร้างกระแสอย่างรุนแรงในกลุ่ม Flash developer (แน่นอนว่าผมก็เช่นกัน) ว่า Adobe Flash กำลังจะก้าวเข้าสู่ Mobile Platform อย่างเต็มตัว รวมถึงการให้สัญญาว่าจะปรับปรุงคุณสมบัติต่างๆ ให้ถูกใจผู้ใช้มากกว่าเดิม จึงปฏิเสธไม่ได้ว่า Flash Platform จะกลายเป็นที่น่าจับตาหลังจาก CS5 ออกวางตลาดแล้ว

เนื่องจาก Adobe เขาภูมิใจอย่างยิ่งที่ได้รับฟังเสียงของชาวบ้านผู้ใช้ product ของเขา โดยรับฟังความคิดเห็น (และ bugs) ผ่านทาง Flash Player bug and issue management system (หรือในภาษาเราๆ คือระบบการจัดการ bug และปัญหาของ Flash Player นั่นเอง) โดยได้นำแนวทางเด่นๆ จาก community นี้เอง ทำให้ได้ feature ออกมาในเวอร์ชั่นใหม่ดังนี้คือ
* Global Error Handling
* Microphone Access

บ่อยครั้งทีเดียวที่ผมจะชอบเดินเข้าไปเลียบๆ เคียงๆ น้อง iPhone (ต่อไปนี้จะเรียกว่าน้องโฟนนะครับ แฮ่ม) รูปร่างเพรียวบางในร้าน True shop บ่อยๆ ลองแตะตรงโน้น กดตรงนี้ เพื่อดูว่าน้องเขาหวือหวาแค่ไหน และก็สมกับที่เป็นโทรศัพท์แถวหน้าของโลก ยอมรับเลยว่าความเป็น perfectionist ของ Steve Jobs นั้นถูกถ่ายทอดลงไปในตัวน้องโฟนทุกกระเบียดนิ้ว คิดว่าคงมีแต่ส่วนที่เขาจงใจไม่ให้มีเท่านั้นแหละ

Today, Sun microsystem has launched JavaFX Preview SDK to this world. There are the tool for graphic (“Nile”) and NetBean 6.1 bundle with JavaFX compiler. It’s the most interesting thing for this August. I surely Java developers around the world will download this tool to try the new toys which targeted to compete “Adobe Flex”

สุดยอดเลยคะ
แต่มีคำถามหน่อยนะคะ คือ แล้ว javafx เนี้ย มันจะสามารถเรียก java method ได้ตรง ๆ เลยรึเปล่าคะ (ไม่รู้ว่าเกี่ยวกันรึเปล่า) คือ ถ้าต้องการเรียก java method จาก flex เนี้ย จะมีวิธีทำได้ยังไงคะ

สำหรับ JavaFX นั้นทำได้โดยตรงเลยครับ โดยให้นึกภาพว่าเหมือนกับเราเขียน ASP.NET แล้วไปเรียก C# method นั่นเอง เพราะมันอยู่บน Platform เดียวกันครับ
แต่สำหรับ Flex แล้วตอนนี้ยังไม่มีวิธีการ เรียกใช้ Java object ได้โดยตรงครับ ต้องทำผ่าน data service ที่มีอยู่ทั่วไป โดยตัว opensource ของ Adobe คือ BlazeDS ก็สามารถทำได้ครับผม
